Marty Collins, Group Marketing Manager, Microsoft

Marty Collins is a Group Marketing Manager in the Windows consumer marketing group at Microsoft. As leader of the Windows Social Media Team she is responsible for building a strong community ecosystem for Windows and Windows Live customer using social networking techniques.

Before joining the Windows marketing team Marty worked in the Developer Platform &Evangelism group at Microsoft focused on building technical community. Prior to Microsoft Marty worked at Oracle focusing on user groups, and in New York City marketing for professional services.

Marty was born and raised in Seattle, WA and has spoken at numerous conferences including Community 2.0, THE Conference on Marketing and the Social Networking Conference. Joe Cothrel, Chief Community Officer, Lithium Technologies

Joe Cothrel serves as Lithium's Chief Community Officer. In this role, Joe is responsible for thought-leadership, research, and innovations that will drive the next generation of successful enterprise customer communities.

 Widely recognized for his pioneering work in online communities in business, Joe Cothrel’s work with online communities began in 1996, when he conducted the first comprehensive research study into successful practices for managing online communities. He has worked as a consultant and researcher with nearly 300 companies using online communities to create more productive relationships with customers, partners, and employees. 


Bill Johnston, Chief Community Officer, Forum One Networks
Bill Johnston works as Forum One Network's Chief Community Officer. In this role, Bill drives the editorial vision for Forum One’s series of conferences related to online community, leads the Online Community Research Network, and leads the commercial community consulting practice.

Johnston has been building large-scale online communities since 1999. He came to Forum One from Autodesk, where he served as the Online Strategy Manager, with responsibilities including a portfolio of online communities and blogs. Previously he oversaw user experience tasks at TechRepublic, an IT professionals community (now part of Cnet). He also directs the Online Community Roundtable, an invitation-based professional networking series for online community professionals to share best practices and experiences.
